Of Special Significance: Salamis was founded in the 11th century BC and is one of the most important ancient cities of Cyprus. The Walled City of Famagusta is an open air museum that astounds tourists from all over the world, while the Monastery of Saint Barnabas, who played an important role in the spread of Christianity in Cyprus, is also of historical significance.

Of Special Significance: Sun-seekers flock to Golden Beach in the heart of the Karpaz Peninsula, because of its beautiful surroundings. Nearby, Karpaz National Park features rich flora and fauna in addition to the world famous wild donkeys.
